Please read the information below, as these are legal requirements and failure to comply may result in penalties.
You should refer to the UK Government’s Travel Advice page or the Spanish Embassy in your country for further advice.
From 23 November, all passengers (including children) travelling to Spanish airports and ports from ‘risk’ countries (as determined by the European Centre for Disease Prevention & Control) will be required to present a negative PCR (swab) test taken within no more than 72 hours prior to arrival, in order to enter the country.
The UK is currently on the ‘risk’ countries list which is updated every 15 days. Passengers arriving from the UK, regardless of length of stay, are subject to this requirement.
You can provide this information on the Spain Travel Health website or downloadable app.
You will be issued a personal and non-transferable QR code which you must show (electronically or hardcopy) at airport health controls on arrival. Anyone who has not completed this form electronically via the Spain Travel Health website or app, may submit it in paper format prior to boarding.
On arrival, you will also:
Anyone who presents symptoms or fails to meet one of the above requirements will be required to undergo a test on arrival and will be obliged to observe the COVID-19 protocols in place as determined by the local authorities in Spain.
Fines may be issued to anyone who arrives in Spanish airports and ports from ‘risk’ countries without adequate evidence of a negative PCR (swab) test.
Travellers may also be contacted and required to undertake a PCR (swab) test at any point up to 48 hours after their arrival in Spain.
From November 14th, until further notice, if you’re travelling to the Canary Islands and staying in tourist accommodation (this includes CLC World resorts), you have to:
These measures apply to all guests aged 6 years and over, unless they have proof of travel confirming their uninterrupted presence on the islands for the previous 15 days. For further information, refer to guidance from the Canarian tourist board or contact CLC World Member Services.
Inter-regional travel is permitted, as long as your point of origin and destination do not fall within a confined area where entry and exit restrictions are in place.
Transiting confined areas to reach your final destination is permitted, however you should be prepared to show evidence of your onward journey such as train or flight tickets to your final destination.
If travelling with people who are not from the same household, all passengers must wear a face mask covering the nose and mouth. Penalties may be imposed if you do not comply.

Club La Costa announces discontinuation of new timeshare sales
After a particularly challenging year, several weeks ago we advised all CLC members, staff and other stakeholders of the planned closure of our timeshare sales operations. The decision was then taken to place those timeshare sales companies and affected companies including Club La Costa (UK) Plc, into a controlled administration process; as when trading entities become unviable for an extended period of time the Directors have specific responsibilities that cannot be avoided and this was advised to be the most appropriate course of action. The closure of Club La Costa’s timeshare sales companies has no impact whatsoever on CLC World’s members, Real Estate owners, or their resorts, all of which continue as usual.
Despite COVID and the extreme travel restrictions it brought – our dedicated teams have navigated around openings, temporary closures and re-openings and CLC World has still managed to deliver over 100,000 holidays for members and guests worldwide in 2020 and has even added additional Club Resorts into regions where member demand suddenly peaked due to “Staycations”. For over 35 years, CLC World has been developing mixed use resorts in the UK, Spain, Austria, Turkey and the United States and this process of development and expansion will continue for many years to come, as will CLC World’s steadfast management of those resorts.
