A Kent couple have praised CLC World staff after celebrating their 32nd year as fixed week owners.
Former British Rail engineer Clive Young and his wife Maggi started off in Las Farolas, until its sale when they were transferred to Marina Dorada.

They have always stayed there, using it as a base from which to explore the south of Spain. “I have an enormous affection for Spain,” says Clive, who’s now 83.
“There have been huge changes down here on the coast, but you can go inland and for me it’s still a bit like stepping back in time.”

Maggi, a former civil servant and computer programmer, praised CLC World staff for their help and support over the years.
“I hurt my ankle when I fell and the staff were wonderful. Clive has heart issues and the care he received was first class.”

The couple, from Great Chart in Kent, usually fly from the UK, but have in the past driven down.
“I have a smattering of German and Dutch, but I’m ashamed to admit I don’t speak Spanish,” says Clive.

Referring to CLC World staff at reception and in the restaurants, the couple said it had been “lovely to continue to see the same faces every time we have visited.”

And in a letter to staff as they prepared to return to Kent, Maggi said the gardens in particular had always meant a lot to both of them.
“The gardens especially are always well tended and are even better this year, giving us a great deal of pleasure.”
