With the new season of Poldark just around the corner, we’ve pulled on our tricorn hats and taken a quick look at some of the fantastic locations that are within a stone’s throw (or energetic horse ride) of CLC Trenython Manor.
Famed for all things sea-oriented Charlestown, near St. Austell and Trenython Manor, is the town-double for Poldark’s Truro and Falmouth where Captain Andrew Blarney lives. With tall ships and its traditional appearance, Charlestown evokes feelings of times past.
Nothing says wild, romantic and rugged like craggy Bodmin Moor (other than Poldark himself, of course!). Poldark’s cottage, Nampara, is filmed here along with many of the horse riding scenes.
Why not leap into the saddle and let your imagination gallop free with a horse-trek across the moorland?
The north of Cornwall is a favourite location for scenes requiring cliff-top action. With some of the most rugged coastline in the county, it provides the perfect moody backdrop for the hunky Poldark to smoulder into the camera.
With Cornwall brimming with iconic locations – from Lizard Point to Porthcothan – Britain’s western shores are calling your name.
