Visit Salzburg from the CLC Alpine Centre Austria

The birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg is a beautiful city only an hour away from the CLC Alpine Centre Austria. Culture lovers will adore the city’s splendid museums, while photography enthusiasts will be mesmerised by its world-famous Baroque architecture. Other highlights include a boat trip along the Salzach river, a horse-drawn carriage ride through the romantic old town, and a tour and tasting at Stiegl’s Brew World. Enjoy a hike to the breathtaking Krimml Waterfalls

At 380 metres high, the Krimml Waterfalls are Austria’s highest and anyone who makes the effort to reach them will be rewarded with some of the most captivating and magnificent views in the Alps. The waterfalls are found at the village of Krimml, just over an hour by car from CLC World Austria. The hike to the highest peak takes about one and a half hours, but there is a charming place to stop for refreshment – the Gasthof Schönangerl restaurant. Pause to enjoy the view with a bite to eat and reap the rewards of your hard work before continuing your adventure to the top.

Adventure in the ancient ice caves

An hour away from the CLC Alpine Centre Austria, on the road to Salzburg, are the ancient ice caverns at Eisriesenwelt. First discovered in the late 19th century by pioneering explorer Anton Posselt, they are now one of the most famous attractions in Austria, enthralling thousands of visitors each year who venture to see the mysterious ice formations in their breathtaking natural setting. This fascinating frozen labyrinth is a must-visit and is bound to be a hit with all ages.

Swarovski Crystal World

Consisting of a fantasy garden and vast chambers filled with artworks, sculpture and treasures, Swarovski Kristallwelten really has to be seen to be believed. Since first opening in 1995, this attraction just outside Innsbruck has seen millions of visitors pass through its gates, making it one of the most popular attractions in the Alps for visitors and one of the highlights of any day trip from CLC World Austria.
